How can I prevent cavities?
Jodry recommends brushing your teeth for two to three minutes and floss at least once a day. Doing so prevents bacteria from destroying your tooth enamel. Also if you cannot brush after every meal, simply rinse your mouth with water, this helps remove food from your teeth. Good dental habits are important for keeping cavity-free!
Why should I go to the dentist regularly?
Maintenance is key to your dental health. Did you know that tooth decay rarely causes pain, so if you think, “if nothing hurts, then I don’t have any dental issues”, you could be wrong. Dr. Jodry will ensure that you are comfortable with all procedures and you’ll enjoy going to the dentist again!
How does diet affect my dental health?
Most people in the Richardson area know that a proper diet throughout your lifetime is important in maintaining good health. But you may not know how much your diet affects your dental health as well. For example, a diet low in certain nutrients can reduce your resistance to oral infections, possibly contributing to periodontal disease (gum disease) and decay. Sugar and acid also contribute to weakening tooth enamel, causing decay.
Dr. Jodry and her professional staff can help you understand the role your diet plays in maintaining excellent oral health and keeping your immune system functioning well. The earlier in life you implement these tips, the healthier your teeth and gums will be over your lifetime.
